Moral Apologetics Online Course Description
If you faithfully live out the Catholic Church’s moral teachings there’s a good chance people will say you’re “homophobic” “transphobic” or “anti-woman.” It’s not enough for Catholics to be able to share the Church’s teachings, they must be able to defend them as well.
That’s why the Catholic Answers School of Apologetics is offering Moral Apologetics as a resource to equip you to understand, explain, and defend the Church’s teachings on topics like:
- Proof for objective morality
- The basics of moral theology
- The role of conscience
- Human nature and free will
- Moral principles for sex and marriage
You’ll also learn how to tackle tough issues like:
- Abortion
- Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide
- Homosexuality
- Just War Theory
- Embryo Ethics
- Human Cloning
- Contraception
- Pornography
- Divorce and Remarriage
- Transgenderism
- Same-sex marriage
- As well as modern issues like immigration, socialism, environmentalism and the need for religious liberty
The course contains more than 60 short, easy-to-watch video segments, so you can study at your own pace.
Moral Apologetics will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to defend your faith. Even seasoned defenders of the Faith will learn things they didn’t know before.

Evidence for Catholic moral teaching
Trent Horn is excellent. Clear and concise explanations. I do have to take it bit by bit so I can digest the information fully. Grateful for it!!

Great overview
Great course in that it is presented as a course. It’s not that much more in depth then if you just listened to all of the counsel of Trent podcast episodes, for instance, but presented in a way that builds one after another that is much better, for me, for really internalizing these lessons. As I understand it, this is supposed to be somewhat introductory, but I think a better term would be foundational. If you mastered these lessons, you’d probably never need to go deeper to have productive conversations with people on these matters. Unless you want to go deeper for your own sake, or you’re trying to win a debate with a pro, this should be all you’d ever need.

I am really enjoying the course, it is very helpful. I find it difficult to articulate arguments that are not popular and this course is helping me to put my beliefs into words in a loving, faithful way.
Thank you

Moral Apologetics
Love this! Bite-sized chunks, one main idea at a time to ponder. We’re going to use this and Beginning Apologetics (both because we couldn’t decide which to use first) with our women’s study group. We’ll do Beginning one week and Moral another week, with our own study at home in-between. Just getting started on this plan, but even in the first meeting, plenty of conversation was generated!

Morals in this life
It is simply laid out and logical. It is a programme that can be digested in small chunks. The regular use of examples helps one understand how Catholic moral teaching is applied in various situations. The best thing is I help myself remember by trying to explain to my kids what I have learnt.
